The Annotated Nose is a layered volume, comic in the classic sense, in which the nearly homeless and somewhat self-righteous Alexei Pigov is given a chance to defend himself against a cult novel in which the author William Hundwasser made liberal use of Alexei’s life. Edited by Marc Estrin and lusciously illustrated by Delia Robinson, this edition of 75 copies bears an extraordinary dust-jacket by Ms. Robinson. The edition was published in 2011 by Unbridled Books. The regular edition is available through their website. Leaping Man has the privilege of offering copies from that edition for direct sale at a price of $65. Each limited-edition copy is signed by Mr. Estrin and Ms. Robinson. Unfortunately, Unbridled was not successful in attaining Mr. Pigov’s signature, and he now seems unreachable.
